Some Typical Itineraries:

Annapurna Region

There are a variety of ways to experience the Annapurna region. Below are a few possible options.

Option1: Annapurna Panorama

This is one of the most dramatic low altitude treks in the Annapurna region, journeying mainly away from busy tourist routes. We start the trek in Nayapul – Birethanti after the drive from Pokhara, “valley of panorama”, follow the north of Modi Khola valley and climb the ridge to Tirkhedhunga. Throughout this trek, as we walk beneath the Annapurna

ranges, the mountain views are spectacular. Here also is the unforgettably beautiful Machhapuchhre (6993m.) we considered by many to be the most entrancing peak of all. As we trek up the highest elevation of the trip (3232-4010m.) encounter working in the rice fields. The mountain of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri continue to reveal their beauty and below is the deepest gorge on the earth's surface, Kaligandaki. As we return to Pokhara from Poon Hill, we leave the crowded trekking trails and travel through magnificent rhododendron and oak forests. The people we meet are friendly and unaffected . No one can fail to be impressed by the diversity high lighted on this adventure. The snow-covered peaks of the Annapurna Himalayas, white water fun on the Trishuli River, and an elephant-back safari in the jungle offer a taste of Nepal's remarkable pleasures.

Option 2: Annapurna Circuit

This is one of the classic and most rewarding treks in Nepal. The southern slopes of Manaslu and Annapurna ranges are heavily settled and farmed except the higher regions, which support thick forests of rhododendron dense and fir to Tibetan plateau. Most of the tribes inhabiting this area are different ethnic group; Gurung, Thakalis, Magars, Chettries and Newars. As we turn westwards into the Manang Valley and into the rain shadow of the Annapurna Ranges dramatic change occur. There are small fields supporting some crops of millet, wheat and small flocks of sheep and goats, Manang tribes are traditionally a trading race. They are also Tibetan by origin and Buddhist by religion, and their architecture and lifestyle is quite different to those tribes on the southern slopes. Usually trekkers are passing through the 5416m. Thorung-La Pass can offers the perfect views of beautiful Annapurna, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri North-South, Tilicho Peak, Tukche, Thapa and Dhampus peak. And following the courses of two mighty rivers Marshyangdi in the east and the Kaligandaki in the west being the deepest gorge in the word, it's still virgin land to attract the people from all over the world.Thakali and Mustang tribes control the busy trading and pilgrimage trail along the Kaligandaki, until we move through the gap between Dhaulagiri and Annapurna into the western zones, where we meet Gurung and Magars again. On the whole trek, there is not one day during which we do not have magnificent views of different Himalayas. The flora, geography and culture also change dramatically around the circuit. See itineraries here.

Option 3: Annapurna Base Camp

The aptly named Annapurna Base Camp is the most intensely scenic short trek in Nepal. From Ghandrung on the Jomsom route, the trail bears single-mindedly north into the very heart of the Annapurna range following the short, steep Modi Khola. It soon leaves all permanent settlements behind, climbs through Dense Bamboo jungle and finally, rising above the vegetation line, makes for a narrow notch between the sheer lower flanks of Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli. Once past this Sanctuary “gate”, it stumbles across moraines  to a cluster and huts (often still called “Machhapuchhre Base Camp”) and further on the so-called Annapurna Base Camp. Wherever you stand in the Sanctuary, the 360-degree views are unspeakably beautiful, and although clouds roll in early, the curtain often parts at sunset to reveal radiant, molten peaks. The altitude is 4130m bring warm gear. The sanctuary can be treated as a side trip from the Jomsom/Muktinath trek, adding seven to fourteen days round trip from the Kathmandu, accessed from Dhampus Phedi or Nayapul – Birethanti. The actual distance covered isn't great, but altitude, weather and trails conditions all tend to slow you down. The trails gain more than 2000m. from the Ghandrung to Sanctuary, so unless you're already well acclimatized you had be wise to spread the climb over four days. This is a trek to a land of enchantment.

Option 4: Excursion to Muktinath

Muktinath is a pilgrimage center for Buddhist and Hindus. The shrines include a Buddhist Gompa and the Vishnu temple Jwala Mai. An old temple nearby shelter spring and natural gas jets, which provide Muktinath with the famous eternal flame. Jomsom is the only place along the Annapurna circuit, which is connected by air with Pokhara and Kathmandu. It is also the district headquarters of Mustang, which includes part of the legendary Mustang and the Muktinath Region. Trekking to Muktinath begins from Jomsom. Our trails will be easy to go to along the Kaligandaki River and reach to village of Kagbeni, a Tibetan influenced settlement close to Lo-Manthang, the capital of what use to be the old principality of Mustang. From Kagbeni village the trail climbs steeply to rejoin the regular trial before Khingar is reached. A further climb brings you to Jharkot then Ranipauwa, the accommodation area of Muktinath (3,710m.), where we can see most impressive views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Tukche, Thapa, Dhampus Peak, Nilgiri north and Tilicho Peak.
